Saw a couple pictures online and decided to give this place a try , I did not regret the hour long drive at all , it was some of the best food I've ever had and the service was phenomenal. I am usually a steak type of guy but decided to try the fried chicken sandwich tossed in medium sauce , and it was by far my favorite it was perfectly cooked and just the right amount of spice I was looking for. The appetizer was simple cheese fries but even that was over the top and was great. My lady friend got the 6oz steak and this was the fastest I have ever seen her eat a steak (she's usually a slow eater) the sides were also very good and just overall a great experience !!!

Pros: Reasonably priced menu Casual elegance Walk up bar Fast seating and service Easy parking (it was not a game day) Cute location downtown walkable area Cons: I didn't care much for my teriyaki salmon because I expected a sauce that was a tad thicker sticker and slightly sweet. Mine was on the salty side as if too much soy sauce was used. My shrimp was fried a bit hard and tasted like the oil was starting to get scorched. I imagine parking is difficult when there's a game at the stadium. There might also be a wait to get seated. You have to get the twisted ribs. It worth a visit just for the ribs, and that whipped cinnamon butter that they serve with the bread. I truly enjoyed this restaurant. Nothing pretentious. Just a classic menu with something for everyone. Chicken beef fish pasta wings burgers etc. Our waitress Zoey was friendly, gave recommendations and attentive service.

This was my second time at Chophouse 101 and we had a great experience. My husband and I both loved our meals and the service was great. I recommend making a reservation, especially on the weekend or during game nights. It's a lively atmosphere and the minimal drift.

Made a reservation for 5 at 6:45pm on a Tuesday after Memorial Day. We were seated after 20 minutes at tables that were open when we arrived. High ceilings add to volume but we like the noisy dinnertime chat. Old style open ceiling and ductwork keeps it modern and fun. Appetizers were very good. Peppered ahi flavorful served with a good sauce over lettuce carrot mix. We all tried margaritas and enjoyed each one, just the right amount of everything in them. Varying steaks and a prime rib for main courses were all cooked perfectly as ordered and seasoned without overpowering the flavor of the cut. I had asparagus, 2 of us had garlic mashed, 1 had a baked potato, and 2 had Mac and Cheese, and 3 had salads. Everyone was quite happy with their meals. Service was friendly and attentive. Prices were very reasonable for quality and size of food.

Came for a birthday lunch with a large group and it was the perfect place! Alyssa was our waitress and she amazing for our group of 10...super attentive and patient with our group! I got the Southwest Chicken Grill with salad and beans and rice. A lot of our group got the prime rib sandwich and were super pleased. As mentioned, there are some things they do not serve for lunch that aren't noted on the menu.

Nice place in downtown Kannapolis. Service was really quick and everyone was friendly. I started with the loaded nachos. They were fine, a little cold though. Then I got the bacon cheeseburger and fries. The burger was cooked perfectly. I also liked the bacon a lot. The fries were very good as well. Overall, it was a nice place with reasonable prices as well.
